[GARDENING HOT PEPPERS IN SINGAPORE]
Hello guys long time no see eh?HAHA!
So new hobby now. Gardening as you can see. Special interest in hot peppers and now tomatoes. Have ordered seeds for them online as you well know Singapore sucks in these kinds of stuff. So above are hot pepper seeds that I ordered from the US of A and took 3 weeks to arrive. Drove me to the brink of madness. HAHA. But the tomato seeds I made sure to order from the UK so as to not have to wait 3 weeks. Thank God.
Anyways.. I planted/sowed one each of Habanero (which sprouted/hooked first), Jamaican Hot Chocolate, Chimayo (which i just found out is dead), 7-Pot, Numex Twilight, Bulgarian Carrot, Pumpkin Pepper, Bhut Jolokia(Ghost Pepper), Bird's Eye Chili (aka Chili Padi) and two Aji Limon (aka Aji Lemon or Lemon Drop) because i wanted to test the other one under sunlight instead of my nonsense growbox(pictures shown below).. Just wanted to put it out there that someone is actually attempting to plant hot peppers in Singapore. And yes all of them sprouted within 2 weeks. Longest was JHC, Bhut and 7-Pot which took 10 days. Also.. Just to add, I am living in a HDB flat with a tiny ass balcony. Still trying to figure out how to fit all these plants when they've outgrown everything. Yamma. Oh I use horti potting mix for some of the earlier seeds i sowed and then proceeded to mix 2 cups Horti potting mix, 3.5 cups Horti Soil, 1/4 cup Zeolite(from Daiso) and 1/2 cup water. Then i make a hole on the bottom of my cups with my old solder iron so i can water from the bottom (i read that this is better) and for the soil to breathe (?). Sow the seed(s) [i usually only sow one because i was worried of multiple germination; no place] only as deep as twice the size of seeds and make sure to place them vertically (tips by Mark at Learn How to Garden on Youtube). According to him it prevents the seeds from rotting from lying horizontally.
I am currently only using 1 8W T5 6700K CFL light. Planning to buy another one. Box is tiny as you can see. 32 x 22 x 22cm, lined with aluminium foil to reflect all light towards the seedlings. As you can see I am trying to be as detailed as possible so fellow Singaporeans can have an idea of how to start their own pepper seeds and seedlings.

anyways here's a song i am currently hooked on. This guy keeps returning into my life and getting me hooked onto his songs. No regrets though.
Hope ya'll enjoy your weekends. To those hot pepper enthusiasts in Singapore.. You can do it! Hope you found my GLOG useful to some extent.
